Pal payasam
Pal payasam is a special Kerala dessert made using broken rice, milk, sugar and uses locally grown cardamons.
Ingredients:
10 cups milk1/2 tin condensed milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cashewnut sliced lengthwise
1/2 tspn cardamon powder
Method:
1. Mix 2 cups of water and 2 cups of milk and boil. Add rice into it and cook well.
2. When the rice is cooked well, add the remaining milk, condensed milk and sugar. When it thickens add the cashew nuts and stir continuously till it becomes quite thick. Add the cardamon powder mixed in milk. Eat it either hot or cold.
